No New Posts the WISE OLD toad.
Come here to get sorted! You must be sorted before posting anywhere else. There are four different house choices: Baraves, Fastodin, Stagra, and Leovus. Each represents a different animal and mentality:: the Toad will place you into what fits you best. Your character should be sorted within 72 hours of your first sorting post.

HOUSE of the LEOPARD.
No New Posts Leovus Common Room
Come sit by the fire in the common room or enjoy a rousing game of chess with your friends! Students tend to gather in the evenings and unwind from their classes. If things get out of hand, your head of house and prefects may be called in to dish out consequences.

No New Posts Boys Dorm
The boys dorm are decorated with more masculine effects than the dorms of the opposite sex; there is forever the scent of evergreen in here. There are five beds to each dorm, usually for boys of the same year. Strangely enough, there are no charms or hexes preventing the female gender from entering.

The North End
No New Posts The Headmistress Office
Uh oh. If you're here, that must mean you're in trouble. Or you're in danger from a Dark Lord. Either way, it's best to sit quietly outside until one of the Headmistresses comes to get you and, well, deal your cards.

No New Posts The Drawing Room
Illuminated by sunlight at the end of the day, this room was reopened in 1790 after being closed due to damage sustained during the Revolution. Students can read, study, talk, or simply enjoy the beauties of the Drawing Room. Unlike the library, there is no adult supervision in here.

No New Posts The Hospital Wing
If you need someone to stitch up your head, cure that common cold, or remove the fungus growing off your nose you'll want to visit the Hospital Wing. The nurse will fix you up before you can say supercalifragilisticexpalidocious. You'll find that there is always someone on duty here.

No New Posts The Prefects Bathroom
One of the few privileges of being a Prefect is this luxorious bathroom. The bath is half the size of a Olympic pool and decorated in rich silks and marble face. Other students often sneak in, but beware of the Prefects. If they catch you in their private bath, you'll be in BIG trouble.

No New Posts The Lower Library
Everybody needs a place to get away: for some students, this is the place. Whether you're researching Saphron Spitting Slugs or finishing up that homework or even looking for a trashy romance novel, the Lower Library will suit your needs, as long as you're QUIET. The librarian is always around.

No New Posts The Rooftop Gardens
Students climb up to the gardens to savor the ocean breeze or watch the stars at night. It provides a decent view of the grounds and even the town, but unfortunately, the flowers up here don't grow very well at high altitudes. The garden itself is pretty depressing.

Corridors & Hallways
No New Posts The West Wing
You might think that this is just another wing-- and you're exactly right. This hallway is situated in the North End, leading to the Stagra and Baraves common rooms as well as various classrooms and stairways and doors that lead to nowhere. So go ahead and explore!

No New Posts The Laundry Room
Everybody has a little bit of laundry to do. Not everybody knows how to do their laundry, so don't be surprised if you hear some explosions coming from this room. It's always nice to help out a classmate in need and at the same time, prevent filling the laundry room with suds.

No New Posts The Window Seat
Some students come sit here to watch the rain. Others come to snuggle up with a good book. The seat is big enough for three students. It is tucked away from the rest of the hallway: you never know who or what you might find there. If I were you, I'd be a little careful.

No New Posts The Staff Room
The professors come here to hang out after their classes, grade papers, and bitch about their students. More often then not, you'll find a basket of delicious muffins on the table. There is a staff meeting held every Thursday night: no students are allowed in here then or any other time.

No New Posts The Kitchens
Whether you're hungry for a midnight snack or want to see where all the action is, the kitchens are the perfect spot to go for that pick-me-up. Almost every student in Salem knows how to sneak into the kitchens, though on-duty professors never seem to check here.

No New Posts The Dungeons
There are a lot of old classrooms and storage rooms down here in the dungeons: the darkness can be rather unsettling, but once you get past the smell and the rats, it's extremely interesting. Most locked doors in the dungeons become easily unlocked with a few simple spells.

No New Posts The Dining Hall
Meals are served in the Dining Hall three times a day: eat with your house, eat with your friends, and if you're feeling especially brave, you can eat with your professors. Breakfast starts at six and ends at ten, lunch goes from twelve to two, and dinner is served from five to nine.

No New Posts The Howard Ballroom
Named after one of the most infamous Headmasters of Salem Academy, the Howard Ballroom is where the school holds most of their annual celebrations. There are three chandeliers, a balcony, and mirrored walls, all vintage from the 1930's. When not in use, the ballroom is host to empty chairs and dust.

No New Posts The Wine Cellars
There are rumored to be secret passages beneath the Wine Cellars from the Underground Railroad days but nobody has found them yet. Most of the wine was removed long ago, but students still congregate here for meetings in secret or just to be alone.

The Grounds
No New Posts Sunset Hill
The most romantic place on the grounds, students and teachers often come up here in the afternoons to watch a glorious New England sunset over the ocean. A large oak tree sits atop this hill with a wooden swing, perfect for those sunny days. Nobody can say no to an ocean sunset.

No New Posts The South Lawn
A smooth green lawn that runs from the veranda to the beach, the south lawn measures nearly three acres and offers a spectacular view of the sea. During the warmer months, you'll find most students lounging about during the afternoons and evenings. The lawn also leads to the gates of the town.

No New Posts The Dock House
Inhabited by Lewis Debinky, one of the wizard casualities of the American Revolution, the old dock house is left alone and off limits to all students. Some, however, have decided to ignore this rule for their own purposes. Be careful of the rotting wood: you might fall in.

No New Posts The Athletic Fields
Students can visit the Athletic Fields to work off extra energy or just enjoy any great American pastime. Not only is there a soccer field but a football field and two tennis courts. It seems that football has become quite popular, even amongst the purebloods. Quidditch is not allowed here.

Quidditch matches are held here year round along with the tri-annual matches against schools like Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and the San Francisco Institute of Magic. Team practices are held here after classes and on the weekends: games always take place on Saturday afternoons, rain or shine.
